Thomas Porricelli is a partner in the New York City office with over a decade of experience focusing on providing comprehensive business and strategic consulting services to technology and franchising companies. He is a co-leader of Citrin Cooperman’s Technology Industry Practice and Sports Tech Industry Practice, and a senior member of the Franchise Industry Practice. Tom leverages his specialized skill in multiple areas to provide highly customized solutions to his clients.

Thomas strives to assist emerging and established businesses with strategic planning and preparation by bringing the right mix of experience and skills to understand the entrepreneurial spirit which embodies a startup or emerging company. He works closely with the CIOs to improve efficiencies, maximize productivity, and streamline matters impacting corporate structure, financing and funding guidance, equity transactions, strategic tax planning, internal controls, financial reporting, and overall operations.

Thomas has developed a tremendous amount of experience working with technology-based companies, ranging from startups to businesses with several rounds of funding. He directs his clients on matters impacting accounting treatment, financial reporting, and overall operations.

Thomas has also developed extensive experience working with and advising franchisors and multi-unit franchisees of different sizes and industries on several diverse matters including evaluating and implementing effective technology, finance performance representations, franchisee unit matrix, franchise disclosure document financial and narrative presentation, advertising fund structure, corporate restructuring, and asset protection.
