Julia is a director in Citrin Cooperman’s Commercial Tax Services Practice.

Julia has over 12 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and business consulting. She provides tax and accounting services to high net worth individuals, closely held small and mid-sized businesses, individuals in the entertainment industry, service professionals, real estate owners and operators, as well as not-for-profit organizations. Julia assists her clients with various compliance issues, including payroll and sales tax filings, business licenses, multi-state filings, and bookkeeping inquiries.

Previously, Julia was a senior tax and accounting manager at Barkin, Perren, Schwager & Dolan, LLP (BPSD), which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2025. Julia moved to Los Angeles, CA from Russia when she was 21. She went back to school a few years later to earn her bachelor’s degree. While attending college, Julia worked at a bank and started her accounting career as a freelance bookkeeper, which led her to choose accounting as her major. After graduating, Julia began her career in public accounting with a local mid-sized CPA firm where she developed her technical skills and gained valuable experience, while growing from a tax staff employee to a tax manager.
