Michael Camacho is a partner in Citrin Cooperman’s Providence, RI office and has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting. Previously, Mike was a partner at LGC+D, which joined Citrin Cooperman in 2016, where he led the firm’s Corporate Solutions Group.
Prior to LGC+D, Mike served eight years as an audit manager at a global accounting firm, where he was responsible for managing the audits of domestic and multinational public and private companies, as well as serving as a local and national facilitator for the firm.
Mike focuses on audit, attest, and consulting services for public and private companies. He is a leader within the firm’s Technology, Risk Advisory, and Cybersecurity (TRAC) practice with a focus on internal control, compliance, and cybersecurity. Mike is an internal control specialist, focused on helping companies evaluate the adequacy of their financial, operational, and IT internal controls. To this end, he provides compliance-related internal control services and outsourced internal audit services. His expertise is concentrated in serving commercial niches such as manufacturing, service, distribution, technology, and media and telecommunications.

Community Involvement
Mike is an active member of the Washington County Fair Committee, an organization responsible for running Rhode Island’s largest agricultural fair with over 110,000 attendees during its five-day run each year. As the entertainment chairman, he is responsible for the fair’s entertainment, advertising, and website. Mike is also the treasurer for the Exeter-West Greenwich Little League program and coaches in the Exeter-West Greenwich Youth Basketball association. In addition, he is a volunteer for the RI 4-H Club Foundation and the Southern Rhode Island 4-H Club, running the kitchen for three days at the annual fair.
Outside The Office
Mike was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Illinois and relocated to Rhode Island in 2004. He lives in Exeter with his wife Susanna and their three sons. He is a sports fanatic and a die-hard fan of the Chicago Bears and Cubs. When not involved in the various sporting programs in which his sons participate, Mike has a deep passion for music, including playing the guitar and songwriting.
